About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Augusta at 3008 Deans Bridge Rd, Happy House Korean Restaurant stands as a genuine haven for lovers of Korean and Pan-Asian cuisine. This cozy spot delivers an authentic dining experience that transcends the humble exterior, inviting guests into a warm atmosphere steeped in Korean culture and comfort. From the moment you step inside, the efficient yet culturally rich decor, paired with nostalgic 90's K-pop melodies, sets the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal.

The menu is a treasure trove of vibrant flavors and textures, featuring standout dishes that cater to both traditional palates and adventurous eaters alike. Among the favorites is the Tang Soo Yook, where tender pork is perfectly deep-fried and bathed in a luscious Korean sweet and sour sauce, creating a delightful balance of crunchy and tangy that dances on the palate. Equally compelling is the Bulgogi selection—whether pork or chicken—the marinated meats are grilled to perfection, boasting a smoky sweetness that feels soulful with every bite.

Seafood enthusiasts will find joy in options like the savory Seafood Pancake, crispy on the edges and filled with a medley of fresh ocean flavors. The Cham Pong Bap is a boldly spiced soup brimming with mussels, shrimp, clams, squid, and clear noodles—each spoonful warm and invigorating—perfectly paired with a side of rice to soak up the rich broth. Don’t miss the Jap Chae, featuring stir-fried glass noodles tossed with colorful vegetables, balanced artfully with the sumptuous sweetness of soy sauce and sesame oil.

True to its Korean roots, Happy House offers a variety of classic sides like kimchi, which is generously served and often unlimited, allowing diners to savor the deep, fermented tang that complements every main dish. The Kimchi Jun Gol (kimchi stew) and Kimchi Fried Rice also stand out for their comforting heartiness and robust flavors.

Customers consistently praise the homey vibe and attentive service. One guest, Bryan Valdez, reflects on the meal as “very homey,” appreciating the unlimited sides that came with their order. Another diner, Sy, was thrilled to find a cultural gem in Augusta, highlighting the authenticity of the food and environment, especially sharing delight over the panfried mackerel which was "crispy on the outside and tender." This sentiment resonates throughout other reviews emphasizing the staff’s friendly demeanor and the restaurant’s ability to satisfy cravings with genuine Korean flavors.

For those new to Korean cuisine or seasoned enthusiasts, Happy House Korean Restaurant offers an inviting culinary journey. Whether you relish spicy stir-fried dishes like Spicy Pork and Squid Stir Fry or crave noodle selections such as Dumpling Ramen and Jjajangmyeon Noodles, every dish is crafted to delight your senses with bold, layered flavors and comforting textures. They even feature unique refreshing beverages like their signature Watermelon Drink that complements the richness of the food perfectly.

Don’t judge this gem by its modest exterior. As Ciera Perez attests, “This place is amazing!” especially for those chasing Korean favorites like Jjajangmyeon, tteokbokki, and kimbap. Whether you're dining in or taking out, Happy House promises a genuine, satisfying Korean dining experience that captures the heart and soul of traditional Korean flavors with a welcoming smile.

Very homey meal. Give it a shot. Some of the sides were unlimited too with our order.

I was thrilled to find a Korean restaurant in Augusta. The outside is very humble, but to me, that is a great sign. The food is what is important! The inside feels authentic with it's efficient furnishing and culturally relevant decor. The 90's era Kpop was so nostalgic. The food more than satisfied my craving, I was delighted! I got the pan-fried mackerel, it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The side dishes were very good, especially the potatoes. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Augusta.

Don’t let the outside looks deceive you. This place is amazing! I’ve been on a Jjajangmyeon binge lately and was craving it when I was visiting Augusta. Found this place that also offered tteokbokki and kimbap- my two other favorite Korean dishes. Decided to give this place a shot We arrived right when they opened. We were greeted and sat down. Drinks came out quick. We ordered kimbap and tteokbokki (mild level) as appetizers and I ordered the Jjajangmyeon and my guest ordered the fried rice. Food came out quickly. The kimbap was delicious. Smaller than the other kimbap I’m familiar with and different with the rice outside the seaweed but it was delicious. Especially with the sauce it came with. The tteokbokki came out right behind the kimbap and was, also, just as good. Rice cakes were nice and chewy, the mild spice level was good (I could have easily gone up to medium or spicy) and the fish cakes were good. Jjajangmyeon my nice and hot, noodles were chewy and the sauce was delicious. Nice balance of noodles, veggies and the sauce. We absolutely enjoyed our visit and we have found our new Korean restaurant. Highly recommend
